What is Akili Interactive?  As their website explains:

“Akili Interactive is a prescription digital medicine company combining scientific and clinical rigor with the ingenuity of the tech industry to reinvent medicine.

It’s time to change the way medicine is designed, delivered and experienced. At Akili, we believe that effective medicine for serious illnesses can also be fun and engaging. We’re creating a new class of digital medicines for people living with cognitive impairment, delivered through captivating video game experiences.

Are you ready to play your medicine?”

Occupying the entire third floor of the Brick Kiln Building in Corte Madera, CA, this unique company asked for a blend of design sophistication (such as full height frame-less glass walls and modern lighting fixtures) with comfortable funk (such as plush furniture more likely to be found at home.) As one employee put it, the people of this Marin-based branch of the company headquartered in Boston are essentially game designers focused on medicine. As with most tech designers, their schedules are unpredictable yet rigorous, so they need ways to relax and blow off steam in the midst of tight production schedules.

Interior Design services were provided by Ashley David Design of Berkeley, CA.
